Pre-Summer Post

I just wanted to quickly say goodbye to anyone who actually reads these blogs, and to give a special shout out to Dov and Elan- you guys will be sorely missed. I'm leaving for Spain in a few hours, and to be honest I'm not so excited. It's weird. I live for camp, will be with several close friends and get to go to Europe and Israel for 6 weeks. I guess it's just a mixture of stress and depression. Hopefully once I'm there and settled everything will be great, and my spirits will be up.
It's been a very wild year. Lots of ups and downs, but I think overall it's been a productive period. I've set several options in motion for my future, stabilized religiously, and can't think of anything I've done that I'm ashamed of (other than not having the beysim to break up with a girl and telling her that I lost my job and couldn't date- that was bad, but I just suck at breaking up with people!!!). Before I run off to the airport I'm going to make myself a quick Top 10 list. It's really for me so feel free to stop reading here. I hope y'all have a great summer!

Top 10 Things I Need To Do/Not Do To Have a Successful Summer:
10. Be respectful of the staff and listen to their ideas.
9. Push Yourself. I can't let fatigue or laziness overcome me. The summer is only 6 weeks and I have to utilize every minute of it.
8. Don't outwardly favor any of the kids
7. Don't be power hungry, but also know my role as a leader
6. Try to sympathize with the kids, even if it's hard. Listen to them.
5. Be confident, not cocky.
4. Don't be too funny. Know when to stop, and what to not say.
3. Be honest with everyone. Trust the staff, but watch out for some wily kids.
2. Be a ben-Torah. Keep your ideals strong. Remember you're a role model.
1. Stay patient and positive- can't lose my temper or give into frustration.
